Founded in 1996 by three enthusiastic Chefs at the shores of Lake Kandawgyi, the Myanmar Chefs Association was fully incorporated into the WACS (World Association of Chefs Societies) in 1999 and has been a member ever since.

Though most likely the “smallest” Chefs Association under the WACS Umbrella, the MCA has spread the Culinary Wealth of the Golden Land for over 20 Years now.

Numerous award winning Chefs were guided by the MCA through a plethora of International Chefs Competitions and Gold, Silver and Bronze medals are frequently brought “Home”, inclusive a medal at the 2016 World Chefs Olympics in Erfurt / Germany.

The MCA is deeply involved in Chefs Education as well as in Humanitarian Aid Projects to assist and support people and areas struck by natural catastrophic events such as Nargis, Giri and other natural disasters, thus far the MCA has donated goods worth over 20 Million Dollar.
