November Food Show Myanmar 2018

An excellent half time meeting point for the Hospitality industry , Yangon – not so much the whole country most tourism destinations at high season and busy at home kitchen. Still the first and second day the MEP was also this 2018 again a melting pot of Chefs meet Chefs and F&B and bar tender making plans for the coming competition season March to September with the Highlight the biggest Culinary Challenge in Myanmar the Myanmar Culinary Art Competition 7.6. to 8.6.2019 at the NEW Yangon Convention Center at Inya Lake the best new location – a guaranty for international standards, a near to town easy to access and quick to arrive by car location at the gardens of Inya lake Hotel …

MCA Young chefs here in November again volunteer for Ma Ma Margaret as already historical , the young students nearly all through Master Chef Moe Moe Khaing s – Star recources students , big exposure under the watch of top class Chefs as Kyaw Lyaw, Zin Maw Win, Shwe Moe Tha, Ye Nanda, Thurein ( back in town ) & Kicking, Kyaw Hein in the House, Ma Zin Myo Nwe , — The whole group of Mandalay chefs with Kyaw Moe Khaing ….Chef Alex, Steven, Myo Min which always has a helping hand.  The whole Pastry Alliance with special assignment, of course for culinary charts with Margaret.

Chef Ye Nanda of course not without his legendary Roast Turkey in German Beer Sauce A La Junker…  

Ma Ma Margaret s,- US Poultry Booth was the place to be for all the old guard as well and specially for educational knowledge to young chefs , one student one own created dish, cooked and display and a recipe to Ma Ma Margaret. Ye Nanda arrange the obligatory Golden Roasted Turkey every morning,– ZERO Food Waste was the theme as ever and all went into the big Poultry Consommé – slow cooking over the whole day,– the most special dish at the whole food and hotel fair since years when from 16:00 pm onwards the most rich US Poultry Consommé is served in biodegradable cups.

This year much of the late 90ties chefs as Hla Htut, Saw Arthur , Hla Win, much Nikko 1997 to 2001 at the show.    Mandalay Chefs came back with a Gold Award well done .

Master Artist Chef Thein Naing was busy as much more Chefs now skilled in Live Fruit Carving
