Thanks to the many cash and kind donor and the medical project of Swiss Neurosurgery specialist Dr Philippe and team with the tireless Prof Myat Thu in Myanmar and his neuro Dr team the MCA  WCWB was able again as last year to select in rural areas special cases as here meningoncele and hydrocephalus children with head bonne defects which if not operated will negative influence their whole live ( visually, physically and mentally )….

MCA WCWB, Myanmar arranges such operations since 16 years with prof Myat Thu and over 400 poor patients
– children could be operated successfully at the Neuro department of Yangon General Hospital ( mainly financed by
Interplast Munich  Dr Heinz Schoeneich ).

These birth defects are usually not treated in Myanmar s rural areas or state cities as there is a shortage of Neuro Drs
despite the union Ministry of Health has now since 3 years CT s equipped and plans to support are on a way ( so a bit slow
motion as Drs are not equal transferred to rural areas  Drs love to stay in the major cities )..

Here we have now for the next 15 days free of charge operations patients / children from really all corners of Myanmar as:
– Kawthaung in the far south
– Maungdaw in the west
– Tatschilake in the north east
– Bagan in the central

For all patients all transfers to Yangon, daily meals, medical items and operations are free of charge and funded by Dr Philippe
team, MCA  WCWB and volunteer Drs and Chefs to the project.

In each of the rural areas the patients come from this week, MCA  WCWB and Interplast Munich arranged for the coming
6 month s a full plastic surgery team also for free of charge operations in rural and border areas of Myanmar where usually
such as well basic medical care are rare ot mot existing at all.

Thanks to all Chefs, Dr s and Donors as well the Union and States Ministries of health for all permits and permissions, yours
